The warehouse was designed with a Very Narrow Aisle (VNA) racking system, utilising the full cubic capacity of the facility. This design maximises space efficiency by creating a storage solution that supports high-density pallet storage.
Maximised Pallet Capacity: With 15.5m clear eaves height, the building houses 60,564 pallet spaces, significantly increasing storage capacity and enhancing operational efficiency. This customisation helped meet the company’s demand for better space utilisation and cost savings in pallet storage.
Strategic Location: The facility's location at Port One is crucial for FDS’s logistics operations. Proximity to Felixstowe and Harwich ports offers excellent accessibility for import/export activities, making the site one of the most central customs sites in the Freeport East Zone.
